Essay Contest

The essay contest is an annual event sponsored by Optimist International for contestants under the age of 19.  Working with entries submitted by students at Thomas Jefferson High School, Monaco South anonymously judges the TJ entries and forwards the Club’s winning essay to the Colorado-Wyoming District contest.  The winning entry at the District level receives a $2,500 scholarship.
